Supply Teacher - responsible for teaching French for the majority of the timetable but also covered for other subjects.  Working in this challenging school gave me the opportunity to improve my classroom management skills.

 

St Birinius Boys School, Didcot, Oxfordshire                                           05/03 – 06/03

2nd PGCE placement of 7 weeks.  Duties involved taking a Year 7 form and being responsible for PSHE progamme, teaching across the ability range, writing subject and form reports and marking end of year exams.

 

Wood Green School, Witney Oxfordshire                                                09/02 – 04/03

1st PGCE placement (Sept – Dec for 2 days a week then full time until Easter).  Taught a variety of classes including Year 12 form group, attended meetings in department and parent consultation evenings, helped organize French drama production and developed my own French revision website (www.geocities.com/interactivefrench2003)
