M.O.M. International Co.,Ltd. - was
established on 21 March 1995 with a registered capital of 5 million
Baht. The Company is wholly owned by Media of Medias Public Company
Limited under the management of Ms. Yuwadee Boonkrong and Ms. Linjong
Suvinijjit. The Company engages mainly on distribution of international
documentaries and Thai entertainment programmes in the form of software
content and formal license agreements.
With almost a decade of experience in international television
programming business, M.O.M. International is Thailand’s true pioneer in
international TV programme market and continues to maintain its
leadership in the market at present. Our high-profile business
activities include: Being the first Thai company since 1995 until
present to participate in the MIPTV, the renowned international TV
programme event held at Cannes, France. Initiating a successful campaign
for the government to promote this business. As a result, the Department
of Export Promotion has implemented a policy to promote Thai TV
producers’ regular participation in MIPTV since 1999 until present.
After having initially offered its in-house produced TV programmes to
international markets, M.O.M. International has been able to obtain
quality programmes from Thailand’s leading TV producers including TV
Thunder, MJC Entertainment, Exact, UPL Group and Sunny Disc for
distribution on international markets. These add to its varied portfolio
of high-quality and top-rating programmes, featuring: Travel
documentaries ‘Tour Thailand’ and ‘Thai Recipes’
Short documentaries and video clips on mystery stories and comedy
Top-rating Thai TV series such as ‘Lady and the Countryman’, ‘The Ghost
of Prakanong’, ‘The Actress’, ‘My Heart for You’ and ‘Lady of the Poor’,
etc.
M.O.M. International successfully captures international markets in 15
countries worldwide namely USA, UK, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden,
Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore,
Indonesia and Vietnam.M.O.M. International also obtains licenses from
the world’s leading TV programme producers and distributors namely BBC
and Fremantle Media from UK, Japan’s NHK, China’s CCTV and India.
The recent economic recession as a result of the financial crisis in
Thailand and Asia region had drastically affected the popularity of most
TV programmes distributed by the Company. The economic crisis also hit
our major international markets. TV programme producers to which M.O.M.
International has obtained licenses hardly produce any new programmes.
Despite such hard-hitting impacts, M.O.M. International continues to
carry on its international business in order to maintain our credibility
on the international scene with a strong belief that Thailand’s
entertainment industry and the economy as a whole will definitely
recover in the near future.
