Barrels:
Get the Real Thing
Xaloy
invented bimetallic cylinders more than 70 years ago and continues to
lead the way in development of improved alloys and production processes.
Xaloy ®X-800, X-200 and X-102 barrels meet the needs for wear and corrosion
resistance for more than 90% of all injection molding and extrusion requirements.
X-800:
Tungsten Carbide/Nickel Alloy Composite.

Outstanding resistance to abrasive wear and corrosion
· Most durable barrel solution for almost any material
· Essential for highly filled materials: >25% content of glass fibers,
mineral fillers. · Withstands demands in extrusion of molding of hard-to-melt
materials such as HMW-HDPE or LLDPE.
X-200: Higher-Chromium Iron-Boron Alloy.

X-102:
Nickel-rich Iron-Boron Alloy

Screws: Designs that Perform
Xaloy injection molding screws enable you to cut molding cycles ad improve
part quality with lower melt temperature, faster screw recovery and improved
dispersion of color, additives and fillers. Our extrusion screws enable
you to maximize extrusion throughput, product quality and component life.
Fusion™
Screw. Trials conducted by Krauss Maffei
showed that the patented Xaloy® Fusion™ screw out-performed a leading
competitive high-performance screw and a standard mixing screw with faster
plastication and lower melt temperature in molding HDPE. Other resins
have shown similar results.
EasyMelt™ Injection Screw. Combines the simplicity
and economy of a conventional three-zone screw with the productivity and
quality benefits of optimum material feeding, melting and metering.
StrataMelt™ Injection Screw. Combines the
simplicity and economy of a conventional single stage screw with the benefits
of intensive but low-shear mixing. In addition, we optimize the geometry
of the feeding, melting and metering zones to the materials you specify.
MultiMelt™ Screw. Cut recovery rates and
reduce melt temperature with this barrier-type molding screw. We can optimize
its geometry for individual resins or for general-purpose use.
Stratablend® II Mixer. Here's a great distributive
mixer that produces a melt of uniform temperature. It's suitable for molding
shear-sensitive engineering resins such as PC or ABS as well as polyolefin
and materials containing high level of colorants, fillers or glass fibers.
Nano™ Mixer. It breaks up and disperses agglomerates
of color or filler into nano-size particles using shear and multiple reorientations
of the melt stream. Produces a well-mixed melt with little or no temperature
rise. Its self-cleaning action reduces purging time and cost.

for precise reproduction of the geometry, materials and finish of the
original components that came with your machine.
