new Isuzu M7. The sales guy would not offer me 1 Baht discount off the
list price. However he would throw in a whole bunch of add-ons and
accessories like alloy wheels, tinted windows, leather seats and an on
board DVD system with multiple screens.
Second hand car sales
constitute a much smaller sector of overall vehicle sales in Thailand.
People who can afford to buy a car buy a new car. People who can't
afford to buy a car don't buy. They buy a motorcycle or a pick up. So
the pick up market is aimed at those not so well off as well as the
wealthier buyer who wants to carry loads and some off road capability.
So it is the pick up and lately the SUV
market which has seen a greater demand in custom parts and add on
