The average bra size in Thailand has grown
from a 32A cup to a 32B cup. That is not from any personal observations
but the figures come from the Thai Garment Association so that should
make it official. My first thought is why. Are Thai women getting
fatter? Are the new generation of Thai women inheriting larger breast
sizes than their ancestors? I have another theory. I think Thai women
are using padding more to make themselves more like their TV supermodel
idols.
Maybe we will never know
unless we conduct a thorough market research survey. What is sure
however are that the bra and underwear market in Thailand just like
their women's bra sizes is changing in many ways. Thais have a higher
disposable income and women in particular are getting higher salaries be
that in management levels, office staff or the majority of the female
workforce employed on the factory floor as manual workers.
