Adam Kenneth Plaxton
As a recent graduate of the University of Toronto with a
degree in Political Science and Sociology, along with my
extensive knowledge working with youth, I have acquired many
skills that would be beneficial to your institution. I
anticipate the chance to share my knowledge, experiences,
and personal skills with young children in the
elementary/middle school. I feel I can provide an
environment where students can grow academically and
socially so they may be able to function as individuals and
members of society. My education experiences at both TESOL
and the University of Toronto, along with my relevant
experiences mentioned on my resume have more than adequately
prepared me for the demands and responsibilities of the
teaching profession. I feel that through my various
coaching positions and classroom experience, I will be able
to meet the specific educational, emotional, and personal
needs of the students. Participating on the coaching staff
of two hockey teams and also my competitive swim team, I
have learned many valuable skills that will aid me in the
classroom. These unique experiences have left me with a
desire to share my knowledge and an enthusiasm to continue
to learn and discover. A wide variety of teaching
experience has been invaluable to my professional plans. I
have enjoyed teaching students of all ages; each having
something special to teach me about the field of education.
Most importantly, I have learned that my primary interest
is, presently, at the primary and secondary level. I feel
that this is where impressionable, developing minds need a
positive role model and, at this stage, are willing to
accept the challenge of learning a second language.
I look forward to the possible opportunity of working with
children at the elementary/middle school level in Thailand.
I am very interested and excited to share my knowledge and
ideas with children and watch them grow and mature as
individuals.
A
teaching position in Thailand, where my education,
experience and skills will have a positive influence on my
students, and will make a valuable contribution to the
organization as a whole.
