. Jonathan Logan: I have two years experience teaching high school level English in addition to eight years teaching for the International Red Cross. I also maintain a higher level of English proficiency than most native English speakers gained from graduate school and professional practice. My previous work experience includes public relations and marketing. I currently freelance for companies writing official business releases, marketing brochures and other official documents.

                                            •  Served as primary writer and editor for any outgoing correspondence from Township.

            •  Delegated operations to over 170 employees within the Township of Long Beach.

                                            •  Participated in staff selection of all upper and mid-level management positions.

                                            •  Represented the Township as a liaison to various media outlets.

                                            •  Worked on payroll and organized schedules for all employees.

 

Sep. 03 – June 04               Teacher, Colonial School District, DE

                                            • Taught English to students in grades 9 through 12.

                                            • Developed lesson plans tailored to students’ strengths and weaknesses.

 

Sep. 02 – May 03              Supervisor, Warringah Council, New South Wales, Australia

                                            •  Supervised operations of Council property including beach, marine reserve and park land.

                                            •  Managed numerous employees of Warringah Council and volunteer services throughout

            seven month position.

            •  Achieved a recurrent contract and a seven month senior management position in first year

            of employment: The first in Warringah Council history for an American.

                                           •  Taught English and Creative Writing at a reform school for criminally adjudicated youth.

                                           •  Worked with students during and after school on individual education plans developed

           specifically to assist mentally and emotionally challenged students.

                                           •  Organized and participated in many class trips to sites such as The World Trade Center,

           Washington D.C. and the National Holocaust Museum.

 

Sept. 00 – April 01            Public Relations Consultant, Big Sky Resort, MT

                                           •  Responsible for preserving a positive relationship between the resort and various media

           outlets.

           •  Assisted in planning and overseeing numerous public relations projects for local and

           national markets.

           •  Appeared on radio and TV as a representative of Big Sky Resort.

                                            •  Assisted in training pharmaceutical product teams in message structuring and rehearsal

            for pre-launch presentations for such clients as Pfizer, AstraZenca and Genentech.

                                            •  Researched potential clients in the pharmaceutical and technology industries.

•  Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook Express, Word, Explorer, Excel, Publisher and most other current computer systems and programs.

•  Certified instructor in Red Cross Emergency Response, CPR-FPR, First Aid, and Oxygen administration.

Activities and Interests

• Amateur competitive snowboarder:  Active in sport for over ten years. Qualified for X-Games in 2001.

•  Prolific traveler:  Have visited 44 of the United States and many foreign countries including Australia, Mexico, England, Canada, France, New Zealand, Scotland, The Virgin Islands, Ireland and Hong Kong.
