Activities
Since starting my first job, in 1986, I have managed to use my qualifications effectively, as well as learning many more new skills. I am now confident & experienced with electrics, P.L.C’s, hydraulics, pneumatics, & vacuum technology. I have also participated in several work-based courses, to obtain further qualifications. I have also had some experience of tool making, from designing a few tools & machines, to producing, assembling, & commissioning them. Throughout my higher education, & my working life in
the UK, I also worked on a part time basis for
Topaz Brushes, which was a family business.
During the 20 years I worked for them, I managed
to help them become the number one company in
their field in the UK, before they eventually
decided to sell up & retire a few years ago.
Included in my experience with them was
management skills, dealing with customers &
suppliers, designing & producing new machinery
to improve their company efficiency, & many
other tasks.
Since first arriving in Bangkok, I have also gained some experience in teaching English to a wide range of Thais, both on an individual basis, & classes of up to 60 students. I have taught young children from the age of 4 years old, right the way up to Senior High Court Judges at the main Tax Court in Bangkok.
Outside of work,
I enjoy Snooker, Darts, Calligraphy, & Swimming.
A few years ago, I purchased my first P.C., &
after spending a lot of my spare time learning &
experimenting, I now find that I really enjoy
computers, as well as being very confident with
them. I also enjoy listening to a wide variety
of music, as I find that it helps to unwind. I
plan to start to learn a new language in the
near future, to improve my mind further still. |
