My past experience as a Small Business Proprietor,
Consulting Engineer, and Merchant Navy Officer have
equipped me with a number of specific managerial and
technical skill sets which I have been able to utilise in
training and teaching situations. Personal characteristics
such as leadership, patience, and tolerance learned in my
former professions have all translated well into the world
of training and teaching. Having spent some 20 years in
South East Asia, mostly in Thailand, I have developed an
understanding of the cultural aspects of working in the
region. My marriage to a Thai has also helped me greatly in
bridging the cross cultural divide.
I am particularly interested in management training
specifically of a technical nature, however I also derive
much enjoyment from passing on my knowledge to people of any
age, and status, be they adult or child.
