area in which the founder of the company has many years of experience,
both in UK and overseas. However it was fairly quickly identified

Whilst
we will continue to develop in the retail sector and build on our
reputation of supplying quality at reasonable prices, our aim is
to build on the success we have already achieved in the catering
sector and maximize the opportunity by presenting an ever-widening
range of acceptable products to this sector.
Although the catering market is highly competitive, the advantage
for AAD in developing this sector with our existing agencies is
that, once business is established, margins are reasonably attractive
and can be maintained. This allows for the introduction of other
products with lower operating margins whilst remaining cost-effective.
The most difficult step in entering the catering market is the first
step. This is because, unlike the retails sector where many different
suppliers are selected to give customer choice and product competition,
the catering sector prefers few suppliers with arrange of different
items.
