Family Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic, Whiplash, Carpal-Tunnel Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Fibromyalgia, Sciatica
ABOUT THE CLINIC
After administering a sports therapy clinic for 5 years
for someone else, I found myself frustrated and bothered
by the way I saw the direction of health care was heading.
The concern at that time was strictly number-oriented as
many practices are today. You see, I come from a medical
family and have been surrounded by the medical field my
entire life. My uncle had opened his practice here in 1969.
Throughout my life (as I do today), I often hear from his
patients who have nothing but good things to say about his
ways of treating them. The most common comment I would heard
was "I felt that I was the only patient he had to see that
day". So I knew this was what I wanted in my practice as
well.
In July 1999, I opened up "Family Physiotherapy and Sports
Injury Clinic" with the idea of performing therapy under
a different concept of treating the patient first. This
was my uncle's secret and I set out to model my company
with the same approach. With the risks of making a difference
and in order to make a living at the same time, I implemented
the following changes:
· Treat the patient first and wellness will follow.
· Increase the therapy appointment time to a minimum of
45 minutes.
· If the patient needs more time, give it to them.
· One-to-One Therapy session.
Things went well in the following months and we are receiving
the very same feedback that I have been used to hearing
over the years. It was and is still very satisfying every
time I hear of such good response. However, there was another
change in the monitoring our patients' progress. I noticed
that they were responding to "Hands On" therapy better than
the traditional exercise-based physiotherapy.
Therefore, in order to maintain our high standard of care
("treat the patient first"), I ordered sophisticated and
state-of-the-art modality equipment for my patients and
the patients' response to these treatments have been overwhelming.
So the future of rehabilitation is here.
Yours in health,
Dev Akhbar, President
Family Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic
P.S. If you are not satisfied with your current course
of therapy, switch to us. You have the right to go to a

Here's what our patients are saying:
We have compiled a list of testimonials filled out our patients.
"Just
after a couple of visits, the tension and soreness began to ease".
S.B. (Clementi)
"When I was in a crisis with neck and back pain, Dev rescued me.
I do not know what I would have done without him. I know that I
would not be doing as well as I am now without his help. My pain
level has decreased greatly and my range of motion has improved."
M.V. (Tanglin)
"This clinic has been a blessing to me. When I injured my knee,
I thought that I would be in pain forever. Thanks to Dev, I feel
I will recover fully. Their facilities are very professional and
I have no problems with any aspect of the treatment. I am grateful

CONDITIONS
THAT WE TREAT
We treat a wide variety of conditions and injuries by adopting
a Hands-On approach to your rehabilitation. By using sports therapy
with other therapy techniques and
modalities,
we are able to treat a wide range of condition and injuries.
The most common injuries we treat are knee strain/sprain. This
type of injury commonly occurs during/after a sporting activity.
Due to the complicated nature of the injury, we take a "whole
body" approach to the rehabilitation. Your therapy session is
performed one-on-one with your licensed therapist.
End the cycle of pain with evidence -based medicine and effective
therapy. You will see a difference in the outcome of your injuries.
Included in your treatments, we educate you on how best to take
care of yourself while you are recovering so as to not reinjure
yourself and keep you on a positive, progressive track.
