Fast Oilfield & Industrial Supply Pte Ltd was incorporated on
the 19th of December 1983. However, at that time the present managing
director was still working with one of the largest ship chandler
in Singapore.
Then comes the recession in 1985-86. Fast Oilfield officially
commenced business on 18th July 1987. In a span of three years,
the company progresses & grows by leap and bounce to be one of
the leading exporter for synthetic ropes and steel wire ropes
to S.E.Asia and the Middle East countries with tremendous growth
in volume of business. We decided to invest stock into Kuwait
by end of 1989.
Then comes the Gulf War in early 1990 in which our operations
in Kuwait was wipe off. We started from scrap once again working
very hard putting 16-17 hours a day for the next four years. We
recover from our losses by end December 1994.
Then come our shining stars. We met up with a Dutch party in 1992,
but at that time our financial status was not strong so we did
not have a chance to discuss joint venture. In mid June 1995,
we started our joint venture with two of Holland's leading manufacturers
for flat and round webbing slings with a production plant in Singapore
and head office in Holland.
In a span of 4 years we have grown speedily and now have branches
in UK and in pipeline, branches in Malaysia and Qatar in early
1999.
