the original 'S' nut and with it ushered in the new age of self-clinching
fasteners. These small devices have allowed sheet metal fabricators
to easily and cost effectively provide strong threads in thin sheet
metal since.
Penn Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. (PEM) develops and markets
PEM brand self-clinching and broaching fasteners, S1 inserts for
plastics and PEMSTER fastener installation equipment. These three
product lines complement each other perfectly.
Whether a design engineer is designing a product with a sheet metal
or plastic housing, or needs a solution to install the fasteners,
PEM has the answer. Each PEM fastener is developed with a simple
idea in mind: less is better.
