Transmarine Navigation was founded in 1938 in Los Angeles and remained a liner agency until the late 1970's. A change of ownership gave the company new direction and Transmarine was restructured as a specialist "Tank / Tramp Steamship Agency". In the early 1980's the company embarked on a rapid expansion from the four small US west coast offices to its present international status with a network encompassing the United States plus locations in Canada, Mexico, Panama, Philippines and Singapore with additional strong alliances in Australia and New Zealand.

Transmarine Singapore was incorporated in December 1987 with the objective of providing a full range of services and support to principals' vessels calling at Far East ports, especially Singapore. Since then Transmarine's client base has extended to include a wide range of vessels including cable-laying ships, bulk carriers, research vessels, ocean-going tugs and off-shore platforms. Services include all port support for vessels loading and discharging in Singapore, ship-to-ship services, off-port services, bunkers calls and bunker supply and support, lay-up, de-slopping and tank cleaning in addition to crew matters and related services.

Supply and Warehouse Division opened in October 1994 providing a complete range of supply support for deck, engine and cabin stores including provisions and bonded items.
Warehouse storage, short or long term is available for items such as ships' spares destined for dry-dock repairs, office records and general storage.
