As one of the largest restaurant groups with
a stable of 17 restaurants, the Tung Lok Group is synonymous with
quality dining in a charming ambience. From elegant establishments
serving up haute Chinese cuisine, to the more reasonably priced
outlets, the Group presents a wide selection of dining choices
guaranteed to please even the most discerning diner.
Interestingly
enough, the group takes it name not from its first restaurant,
Charming Garden (established in 1980) at the Corpthorne Orchid
Hotel, but the Tung Lok Restaurant at Liang Court Complex. Opened
in 1984, the Tung Lok Restaurant quickly made a name for itself
with its superior shark fin and abalone dishes as well as first-rate
Cantonese dian xin.
Variety
being the spice of life, however, Cantonese cuisine isn’t the
only type of Chinese fare to be found at the Tung Lok Group restaurants.
Those who like it hot would definitely go in for the piquant Hunan
and Sichuan flavours to be found at Spice Garden and the aforementioned
Charming Garden. Kippo Pavilion presents an appetizing array of
Chinese dishes and Japanese favourites, while Wok & Roll is perfect
for the lover of all (food) things Asian, serving up seafood staples
such as Chili Crab and sensational satays. For a breath-taking
selection of modern Chinese creations, there is always Club Chinois-here
is a seamless fusion of Oriental and Occidental, combining classic
Chinese methods and tastes with Western elements for an innovative
menu unlike no other. And that’s not forgetting the House of Mao
theme restaurants. House of Mao at China Square stays true to
its roots with a purely Hunan menu, while The Red Book at Orchard
Road serves Modern Asian Cuisine.
At Tung Lok, the aim is to serve superior food in a pleasant environment
at reasonable prices. In other words, to make your meal a complete
experience - from fine dining, to fun dining.
