In March 1996, the first wedding gown made of fresh flowers was unveiled to the public eye with her "fresh" concept. A bridal gown designer by training, Yvonne started her designing career-teaching students, before moving on to work in a bridal boutique. Several happy brides later, she finally set up her own shop at the Plaza Hotel shopping arcade in 1993.

Yvonne Creative is popular with air stewardesses and Japanese ladies, who enjoy her warm friendliness and personal touch. Her designs are often created with soft light fabrics, with floating veils and accessories to match. Yvonne makes it a point to keep up with fashion trends. "Most of my customers are young couples who are very fashion-minded. In order to keep up with their requests, I have to keep yourself updated with fashion too".
