Bangkok Broadcasting & Television Company Limited
was established to operate television broadcasting under license from
The Royal Thai Army. Know as Thai Channel 7, it was the first
Thai television station to transmit color television in the Asian
region. Since then, Channel 7 has unfailingly served the best
information and entertainment programs. In1973, Channel 7 installed a
ground network stations in the provinces and expanded the facility
stations to date, obtaining whole country coverage including the regions
of neighboring countries. Channel 7 was the first Thai Television
station to enter the satellite age by linking up with signal channel of
Indonesia's PALAPA satellite. The satellite linkup enabled simultaneous
reception over the whole of Thailand. |
