In 1950 the business started as a small chrome-plating business in Bangkok and is this year celebrating the milestone of 51 years of existence. In 1960 the Chindasook Chromium Ordinary Partnership was founded, dealing in locally produced plumbing products. This became the Chindasook Commercial Ordinary Partnership in 1967 and was a wholesaler and retailer for plumbing products and imported “Asahi” water meters from Japan and gate valves from Italy. The Company became a contractor of the Metropolitan Water Works Authority for installation of pipelines. In 1980 it expanded to become the Chindasook Commercial (1980) Co., Ltd., and later formed a joint venture with Asahi, Asahi-Thai Alloy Co., Ltd. The company received promotional privileges from BOI to assemble “Asahi-Thai” water meters locally and abroad and started production of standardized water gate valves in 1984.
The company’s strategic business is manufacturing and distributing water meters and all related waterworks products, including brass rods. Our brand names, ASAHI, SANWA and ATACO have proved successful in channeling through the market. Our clients are mostly in the government sector and related to water supply. We have more than 200 dealers nationwide, more than 100 factories and export globally.
Our product and production are certified to many international standards, including ISO 9002 and Thailand’s Brand. In 1999 we won the Prime Minister’s Export Award. According to our continuous development and stable growth, we are looking for a qualified agent in order to be our strategic partner.
