Bendix Thailand manufacturing plant was established in 1998, with an investment of Baht 250 million. The objective was to build a plant for production of high quality disc brake pads, using high-grade raw materials and employing most modern production technology and systems.In the year 2000, the plant was awarded certification of QS9000 and ISO14001 quality standards.Lately, during 2004, the plant received ISO/TS16949 accreditation.
The business was renamed to FMP Group (=Friction Materials Pacific) Thailand -and is now aligned to reflect more correctly the nature and location of the enterprise. A business and premier manufacturing basis, producing disc brake pads in excess of 5 million pieces per year.
FMP Distribution Thailand was established to serve the local market and to respond to the ever-evolving needs and quality expectations of the customer and local market in a timely manner.The FMP Distribution Center, strategically located in Bangkok, delivers reliably and quickly quality products to its Bangkok and up-country customers.In order to optimize customer services, the Bangkok sales & marketing office, the Bangkok distribution center and the Rayong plant are all inter connected by a high-speed land line computer system, 24 hours a day.
