making its mark in the Sukhumvit area. On the small lane halfway down Sukhumvit 33, Cafe Buongiorno, run by Mr Enzo Peroni and his English wife.

Cafe Buongiorno is set in an old Thai house on the premises formerly occupied by the German restaurant Heidelberg. Completely renovated inside and now boasting delightful garden seating overlooking a pond, the restaurant drips in tradition and nostalgia, with Enzo's family memories featured in photos dotted around the place. The menu is full of authentic Italian dishes too, along with a marvellous selection of breads, shortbreads, cookies, cashew nut meringues, grissini and biscotti (biscuits) cooked on the premises. So good are the latter, the restaurant receives orders from many leading outlets.
