Mission Health Food Co., Ltd. (MHF) was established on July 28,
1989. The purpose of the Company was to focus on the growth of sales of Mission
Milk Powder products that were transferred from Mission Hospital.
A small factory site was set up in Bangkok and production of Mission Milk Powder
products was transferred to this site. This original factory is still in use
today, although due to the growth of the Mission Brand, a relocation program is
expected.
Originally MHF used it's own sales and delivery forces to expand the sales of
Mission Milk Powder throughout Thailand. However in 1997, after significant
growth in sales had occurred, the decision was taken to restructure these
departments and hand over these functions to a national distributor. The
distributor chosen was Cheer (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Cheer was chosen because of
their existing national distribution network and their experience in handling
sales and delivery at efficient costs. Currently, Mission Milk Powder products
are availble in all leading department stores, discount stores, supermarkets and
other retail outlets all over Thailand (see the Products section for details).
Also in 1997, MHF reached an agreement with it's sister company in Australia to
provide management support to further expand the business. This company is
Sanitarium - The Health Food Company. Since this time, Sanitarium personnel have
given assistance to the many activities of MHF. More information about
