Though the establishment in Thailand was incorporated only in
1992, in these brief seven years, Ratana Sagar Jewellery Company Limited has
come to be synonymous with coloured stones because of the quality of their
products and their personalized service.
President of the company, Rajesh Laddha says that they have grown to look beyond
the Big Three - Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald - because of their scarcity at
affordable prices. Ratana Sagar Jewellery's strength lies in semi-precious
stones of every hue and shape.
The company maintains an inventory of 3 million carats of cut and polished
stones, with a capacity to process 500,000 carats a month. The company's
turnover in 1995 topped US$2.5 million and Rajesh Laddha estimates an annual
growth rate of 25% for the foreseeable future, based on the fact that in the
first six months of 1996 alone, he exceeded his total 1995 sales. In 1997 and
1998 the company's turnover far exceeded the sales of 95&96 put together.
Rajesh attributes the success of his company to a joint effort his hardworking
staff and the company's loyal clientele that comprises major gem traders in New
York, Canada, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea
and Taiwan.
Our cutting factories are both in India and in Bangkok which can supply any
large sized inventories in practically any time possible. The company also
manufactures jewellery set with semi- precious stones using modern-day
technology and design, and the vision of gifted artists to produce masterpieces
in silver |
