The business of Thai Q.P. Co., Ltd. (TQP) was established in 1981, with the
signing of a technical co-operation agreement between the Saha Group and Q.P.
Corporation, one of Japan’s largest manufacturers of food products, with over 80
years’ experience in the industry.
The first operation established by this joint venture was a Mayonnaise
processing plant. In 1990, Thai Q.P. Co., Ltd. leased the Preserved Food
Organization (PFO) located in Banpong, Ratchaburi Province from the Ministry of
Defense, and moved all manufacturing facilities from Sathupradit Road to the PFO.
The slaughterhouse at PFO was improved and approved by the Japanese Authority
capable for exporting frozen boiled meat products to Japan. Many of these
products, like Yakitori, Rolled Cabbage with Seasoned Meat, and Diaphragms,
among others, have been introduced into the export market. Various products
under the PFO brand and newly launched “Gold Taste” brand, such as Distilled and
Rice Vinegar and Canned Curry Products including Corned Beef, Canned Curry
Paste/Sauce have also been introduced into the domestic market and export
market. In order to cope with the expansion of our plant facilities and to
support the government policy on preserving the environment, the company has
improved the wastewater treatme nt system of the plant to achieve higher
efficiency.
In addition to manufacturing and distributing food products directly to
consumers, Thai Q.P. Co., Ltd. also manufactures various kinds of products for
industrial uses and fast food restaurants. The company has R&D departments
applying the latest technology to develop new products and to improve quality
standards of existing products |
