Company Profile: The Australian Studies Centre (ASC)
is a university study centre coordinating teaching and research
activities relating to Australia. The ASC provides training
programmes, study tours, information services and institutional
links for Thai and Australian academic institutions, the private
sector, and the general public. |

The ASC has the best resource centre on Australia in Thailand
with over 2,000 books, journals, videos and CD-ROMs. The Centre also provides
resources and teacher kits for Thai teachers and lecturers on various topics
about Australia.
The ASC was established in 1994 under a Memorandum of Understanding signed
between Thailand’s Ministry of University Affairs and the Department of
Employment, Education and Training (DEET). The ASC is funded by the Royal Thai
Government through its Ministry of University Affairs. It is a consortium of all
Thai universities and is hosted at Kasetsart University’s Bangkhen campus.
