Its product was sacked rice. The company was run in the form of
family business. Less theoretical managerial techniques were applied. The
production capacity was approximately 1,000 sacks per month (1 sack of rice
contained 100 kilograms). With this scale of sales volume during the first
several years of operation, the company gained no profit and frequently even
realized net loss.
As the time passed by, the management team began to apply theoretical managerial
techniques into the operation. The business was then analyzed in terms of the
structure of cost and revenue.
The break-even in the operation was realized. Objectives and strategic plan were
determined. Marketing plan in terms of 4 Ps was developed in order to achieve
the predetermined goals. Thereafter, the company began its success era. Sales
volume satisfactorily climbed up. In 1996, it began launching plastic bagged
rice with a variety of brand names into the market. The different styles of
packaging were designed to suit with the differently marketed brand equity.
Products were then supplied to one of the biggest discount store in Thailand,
MAKRO. That was the important step of the company.
Due to the expansion of market base, a distinct production factory was initiated
soon. The factory was located at 2/10-11 Moo 2, Soi Suksawat 43, Suksawat rd.,
Bangkru, Phapradaeng, Samutprakarn. Afterward, besides MAKRO, EAMTIP RICE
COMPANY LIMITED has also supplied its products to other big discount stores,
which are Carrefoure, Tesco Lotus, etc. At present, the monthly sales volumes
are approximately 10,000 sacks of rice, or 1,000,000 kilograms.
Up to now, the subsidiary company, naming as THEPTHUNYATIP COMPANY LIMITED has
recently been set up on September 9th, 2000. It was located at 889 THAI CC
Tower, 33rd Floor, Room 332, South-Sathorn rd., Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120
THAILAND for export market. We intend to do export business. Our objective is
customer satisfaction and we are determined to keep developing the quality of
our products and service to your greatest satisfaction.
THEPTHUNYATIP COMPANY LIMITED logo was called ÒKINNAREEÓ (pronounced GinÕ-a-reeÕ)
