Thitikorn Group of companies has provided hire-purchase services
for both motorcycle and automobile for more than 30 years with present market
share at 37% which recognized as number one rank for motorcycle hire purchase
service provider in Bangkok and metropolitan area. The group of companies has
business alliance of more than 250 dealers together with credit officer to offer
hire-purchase service in major area with 3 days of approval process for
motorcycle and 7 days for automobile. With long history of services, it enabled
the company to accumulate client profile database for more than 500,000 records
with 100,000 active clients (as of March 31, 2003). The company also has good
relationship with all business alliance for more than 30 years since inception.
Therefore, the company has been recognized as one of the most honest and
responsible service provider in hire-purchase industry. In order to provide best
service for client, the company increased new payment channel for client such as
ATM to accommodate more clients beside counter service channel. As a result,
Thitikorn is proud of our service development to continue serving the community
in the future.
About the company
Khun Chumpol Phornprapha established Thitikorn Plc. (TK) since August 4, 1972
with the registered capital at 1 million Baht to offer hire-purchase services
for both Motorcycle and automobile. In early inception, TK has target on
motorcycle hire-purchase service for individual in Bangkok Metropolitan Area (BMA)
while automobile hire-purchase service was launched in 1982.
In 1991, the registered and paid-up capital of TK was increased to 70 million
Baht for funding business expansion.
In 1995, TK increased its motorcycle hire-purchase portfolio by acquiring 99.99%
of shares in C.V.A. Co., Ltd. which was established sine 1977 by Khun Chumpol
Phornprapha to provide motorcycle hire-purchase service for BMA, central and
eastern part of Thailand. In 1998, the management has restructured the Group to
avoid the overlapped business between subsidiaries, therefore, C.V.A. has been
assigned to focus on Motorcycle hire-purchase in Central and eastern region for
new customers. While TK itself will focus on Motorcycle hire-purchase in Bangkok
Metropolitan Area.
In 2000, TK and C.V.A. have initiated insurance project to cover all
hire-purchase cyclists to cover damage from loss, accident and death. This
project becomes standard practice for hire-purchase service operators.
On September 2002, TK and C.V.A. have granted awards for customer protection, in
term of fairness hire-purchase agreements for customers, from the Board of
Consumer Protection, Office of Prime Minister.
On March 2003, TK acquired 99.99% of paid-up capital from Chayapak Co., Ltd.,
which also found by Khun Chumppol Phornprapha to offer hire-purchase service for
Automobile in Bangkok and Metropolitan Area. Chayapak will be the main
automobile hire-purchase operator for the group of companies.
On June 2003, TK became public company and increased capital to 500 million Baht
and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on September 27, 2003. |
