D.G. Bank Deutsche Genossenschaftsbank AG -
DZ BANK was formed following the merger between the two co-operative
central banks GZ-Bank and DG BANK on 1st September 2001. DZ BANK, in the
banking centre Frankfurt, is the fifth largest bank in Germany. It is
the central bank for 1,100 Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken and is a
Verbund-oriented commercial bank in Germany and abroad. DZ BANK can
therefore call on the experiences of over 100 years of history.
As a integral part of the German cooperative banking organisation, DZ
BANK provides access to the international financial markets for its
partner institutions and their customers. To enable DZ BANK to perform
these functions, it maintains branches in London, New York, Singapur and
Hong Kong, subsidiaries in Dublin as well as the DZ BANK International
S.A. and the DZ Privatbank Schweiz and further representative offices in
the key financial centers and the most important economic regions
throughout the world.
DZ BANK's own network of outposts is supplemented by equity
partnerships, cooperation agreements with partner banks, and a network
of correspondent banks which spans the globe. An extremely important
business link is with the UNICO Banking Group. Due to this cooperative
arrangement, a far-reaching and extensive network of banks in France,
the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and other European countries is
available for the customers of the integrated cooperative financial
system to use. |
