anniversary in high quality tailoring.
Raja's Fashions was founded by Raja Gulati in 1963 at Ubon-Ratchathani
in the North East of Thailand. As the Vietnam War was just beginning to
increase in intensity, Raja opened a shop outside the USAF base known as
Raja's "Wolf Pack" tailor after the nickname for the 8th Tactical
Fighter Wing, which was based at Ubon.
In 1974, when the American presence began to sharply reduce in Ubon,
Raja relocated to Udorn to continue serving his loyal customers. When
the Vietnam War was over and the Americans left Udorn in 1975, some
officers from JUSMAG (Joint U.S. Military Assistance Group) invited Raja
to open up a store in Bangkok.
Raja chose Sukhumvit as his next location so he was close to the U.S.
Embassy, JUSMAG and the expats. Today Raja's Fashions continues to have
a very strong reputation among the finest tailors in Bangkok |
