YKK (THAILAND) CO.,LTD., a subsidiary of YKK CORPORATION, a
renowned zip fastener manufacturing company in Japan, is one of the leading
manufactures and distributors of high quality zip fasteners, hook and loop
fasteners, buttons, buckles and other similar products competing on the world
market.
The original business, Yoshida Kogyo K.K., Tokyo, Japan, the largest
manufacturer of slide fasteners and aluminium building materials in Japan, was
established by Tadao Yoshida who successfully created and developed zip
fasteners manufacturing in Japan.
Yoshida started its business in Thailand in 1977, in a joint venture with Bureau
of the Crown Property, The Industrial Finance Corporation of Thailand and The
Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited and other companies, as a producer
and distributor of a wide range of nylon zip fasteners. The company's original
name, YKK Zipper (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. was changed to YKK (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. in
1995.
In additional, YKK (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. has played a significant role in the
development of the country's garment and bag industries, particularly by
transferring advanced technology and know-how from YKK CORPORATION Japan. |
