Giansingh Amarnath ROP was established in 1916 by the late Mr. Giansingh
Koghar, father of current chairman Mr. Mangal Singh Koghar. The company became a
major importer of textiles from the United States, Europe and Japan. After World
War II, textile production began in Thailand and due to the company's wide sales
network, Giansingh Amarnath was designated as manufacturers' representative of
many textile mills in Thailand. In 1975, the company established itself as a
major exporter of Thai textiles.
Encouraged by continuous growth in the textile
business, Giansingh Amarnath became joint venture partners with the Marubeni
Group of Japan and Birla Group of India in various textile related industries.
Since 1991, Giansingh Amarnath has been managing two textile related plants,
namely Royal Pacific Industries in Thailand and Royal Embroideries in India.
