BNP has been present in Thailand as a Representative Office since 1979. The Thai Authority decided in 1993 to enforce its financial liberalization policy, BNP obtained from then an off shore licenced (Bangkok International Banking Facility - BIBF).
A full branch license has been granted at the end of 1996 and BNP Bangkok branch started its full operation in September 1997.
Our customers are: main local companies, large foreign multinational corporations.
BNP Bangkok can from now handle all banking operation in THB and foreign currencies for domestic and international corporates. With the presence of BNP Prime Peregrine Securities (Thailand) Ltd, in November 1998, BNP can provide ful range of products and services. It's now active in: trade finance, hedging strategies, export and strucutred financing.
