South African Airways has appointed Sun Aviation Company Ltd. as
its GSA partner in Thailand on July 1, 1999. As a general sales agent, Sun
Aviation is responsible for marketing, sales and customer servicing activities
for both passenger and air cargo in Thailand.
Sun Aviation was incorporated on March 26, 1999 as a company dedicated to
marketing, sales and customer servicing for air carriers and other travel and
tourism related organizations. The company is a joint venture between Gulf
Express Transport Agency and Magellan Corporation.
In spite of its young history, Sun Aviation is branded by the strength of its
parent companies and the experience of individual directors who are veterans in
aviation and tourism industries in Thailand.
Gulf Express Transport Agency was founded in October 1978, and had handled the
GSA operations for Turkish Airlines since 1989. It has established and
successfully expanded the market share for Turkish Airlines in Thailand for both
passenger and cargo. Magellan Corporation was established in 1998, as a GSA for
Asiana Airlines. Today the company has included National Airlines, Royal Phnom
Penh Airways and Carnival Cruise Lines in its portfolio.
The mission of Sun Aviation is to provide professional and quality services to
exceed the needs and expectations of our airline principals and customers.
To realize this objective, we provide a turn key arrangement for airlines
including office premises, modern equipment, facilities and a team of
experienced and qualified staff. We also develop strategic marketing and sales
promotional plans, navigate the strategy and make it work more effectively to
gain maximum market share for our principal. In addition to this we also provide
other logistic support including administration and accounting, legal and
taxation, as well as Internet solutions. |
